How many days do you need in Brazil?+
Ten to fourteen days covers Rio and Iguaçu, or Rio and Salvador, without rushing. Seven days works for Rio only, or Rio with one domestic flight add-on. The limit is flight days, not map distance.
Do I need a visa for Brazil?+
Rules depend on your passport — many nationalities use eVisa or visa-free entry. Check official government sources; we do not give visa advice.
Is Brazil expensive?+
Mid-range on the ground runs roughly €45 to €65 per person per day excluding flights — strong value versus western Europe but Rio hotels and Amazon lodges cost more.
What is the best month to visit?+
May to September suits Rio, São Paulo, Iguaçu, and Florianópolis. July to December fits northeast beaches. Amazon lodges are easiest June to November when river levels drop.
Rio or São Paulo first?+
Rio for first trips — icons and beaches. São Paulo for food and museums. Open-jaw into GIG and out of GRU (or reverse) saves backtracking if you visit both.
