How many days do you need in Colombia?+
Ten to fourteen days covers Bogotá and one other region — Medellín, Cartagena, or coffee triangle — without rushing. Seven days works for Bogotá and Medellín only, or Bogotá and one coast base.
Do I need a visa for Colombia?+
Many nationalities enter visa-free for short stays. Rules depend on your passport — check official Migración Colombia sources; we do not give visa advice.
Is Colombia expensive?+
Mid-range on the ground runs roughly €50 to €70 per person per day excluding flights — strong value inland but Cartagena walled city and San Andrés cost more.
What is the best month to visit?+
December to March suits Bogotá, Medellín, and Caribbean coast. Flower season in Medellín peaks August. April to May and October to November are cheaper but rainier.
Bogotá or Cartagena first?+
Either works — open-jaw into BOG and out of CTG (or reverse) saves backtracking. Fly between them; do not bus unless you have two spare days.
