Common questions
How many days do you need in the Philippines?+
Ten to fourteen days covers Manila or Cebu plus two island bases without rushing. Seven days works for one city and one beach — Manila and Boracay, or Cebu and Bohol.
Do I need a visa for the Philippines?+
Many nationalities enter visa-free or register via etravel.gov.ph — rules change by passport. We do not give visa advice.
Is the Philippines expensive?+
On the ground it is moderate by western European standards — roughly €38 to €58 per person per day at mid-range, excluding flights. El Nido tours and peak holidays cost more.
What is the best month to visit?+
December to May is dry season for most islands. Siargao surf peaks August to November but overlaps typhoon risk — check PAGASA daily.
Palawan or Boracay?+
Palawan for lagoons and adventure; Boracay for White Beach ease and nightlife. They need separate flights — not a ferry link.
Costs are research-based estimates, not live prices — verify before booking.
