Pairings that work — and ones that don't
Choosing cities is really choosing combinations, because the flight map between them is not what the road map suggests.

Common questions
How many days do you need in Spain?+
Ten to fourteen days covers Madrid, Barcelona, and one southern or northern region without rushing. Seven days works for Madrid and Barcelona only, or Madrid and Andalusia.
Do I need a visa for Spain?+
Spain is in the Schengen area — many nationalities visit visa-free for short stays. Rules depend on your passport — check official EU sources; we do not give visa advice.
Is Spain expensive?+
Mid-range on the ground runs roughly €80 to €100 per person per day excluding flights — cheaper than northern Europe averages but San Sebastián, Ibiza, and August coasts cost more.
What is the best month to visit?+
April to June and September to October suit Madrid, Barcelona, and Andalusia cities. May to September fits beach and islands. Canaries are mild year-round.
Madrid or Barcelona first?+
Either works — open-jaw into MAD and out of BCN (or reverse) saves backtracking. AVE links the centres in about two and a half hours.
